I woke up this morning around 8:30 and looked outside to see frost on the window and a very dense fog. I couldn’t see anything beyond a pair of trees outside the window. We packed up our gear and checked out of the hotel at 10:30 and proceeded to head to our morning appointment with my sister’s doctor. Once that was completed we made a bee-line for our original hotel, checked in successfully and spent a few hours just relaxing. I did my finals homework and got it submitted, then we hopped in the car and headed up to West Point to get gas and go to the post-exchange (PX). I buy gas at West Point because the cost for gasoline in New York is absolutely through the roof. A station near our hotel was at $4.39/gallon. The West Point gas station goes for just $4.09. Granted it’s nothing like back home where a gallon of gas will cost you $3.89. We went to the PX to pick up provisions, some snacks and stuff. Then we headed out to McDonalds for dinner and back to the hotel to crash and relax. Tomorrow we will be heading up to West Point to visit the resting place of my father and visit some more family, with a dinner date in the evening.
