OMG I camped out for 5 days for iCup!

I have had a lot of my friends and co-workers asking me, “So Kevin, are ya gonna camp out for the new iPhone?” I answer no. Why? Well there are three main reasons:

1. I don’t like camping out.
2. I hate dealing with crowds of people.
3. I can buy it online and have patience enough to wait for it to arrive.

I love Apple, I love Apple’s products, but I am not a crazed lunatic who will spend days in a sleeping bag just to get my hands on a new product. That’s just silly. I have common sense enough to sit back, relax in the comfort of my home or office and click my way to iPhone ownership. I will have mine next week sometime…hopefully.

To all those people who camped out for the iPhone, I applaud you for being the one to do it, to garner the attention and all for Apple’s sake. You rock.

To everyone getting an iPhone tonight or this weekend, HAVE FUN WITH IT! I will patiently wait for mine to arrive and join you in orgasmic Apple cult worship. Cheers!

New York here I come / Deviantart

Well one more day of work and then I am outta here! I am going to New York on Saturday and not coming home until Wednesday morning. I tell you I so need this break. I cannot wait to just climb into that comfy hotel bed, turn on Cartoon Network and have no cares in the world. WOOT! Can’t wait. I will be visiting my sister while I am up there and getting together with my Mom’s family, which another thing to look forward to, cuz I absolutely love my Mom’s family in NY, they are awesome people.

Lastly, I now have established myself on an artist web portfolio site called I have been cranking out some wallpaper creations for your computer’s desktop. Go check my page out.

Ciao, peace and be safe!

Shiira = Big Disappointment

For the past year or so I have been tracking the progress of a new web browser that has been under development in Japan. It’s called Shiira. I have been using alphas and betas of the software and now, finally, the software has been released as Shiira 2.1. I loaded it up and immediately started configuring it and then ran into issues.

First thing I noticed, being a writer and all, is that the English in the preferences is not so good. But even worse is the bookmark management. I asked it to use my Safari bookmark bar instead of the Shiira bookmark bar and it did nothing at all. Then I came to find out that the Shiira bookmark bar doesn’t support folders…what the hell?!!?

Then I tried loading and 1 minute 14 seconds later it still was thinking about it. *sigh*

Oh well, keep trying. It’s back to using Safari for me.

I give Shiira 1 star…just for looking nice.

Apple rocks!

Well once again Apple is showing the world why it is the leader of innovation in the computer industry. During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote yesterday, Steve Jobs unveiled an almost complete Mac OS 10.5 (also known as Leopard). It was the coolest revolution in operating systems that I have seen since Mac OS 10.4 (also known as Tiger).

Also, Apple introduced Safari (the most awesome web browser in the world) for Windows. So now the PC users in this world can enjoy the awesome speed of a REAL web browser.

Apple rocks.

Shuttle Atlantis Launches!

Well after a delay of several months due to damage to the external tank by a freak hail storm in February, shuttle Atlantis launched on Friday evening to continue construction work on the International Space Station. Here is a movie of the launch…

Sometimes you wonder…

…is life truly worth living? Is it really worth going through all the bullshit, hardship, trauma and pain? I mean, come on…you’re going to die someday, why the fuck must life be such a bitch? Well, to be honest, life IS worth living even though there are things which are troubling and things that bring you down. I have come across so many people in the past year who just seem like life is not worth the trouble.

Life is like a bucket of water. And every once in a while the bucket gets bumped. What is inside the bucket is your faith in God. How much will you spill? How much could you gain? God gives us all challenges, adversity, in our lives. He does this to help strengthen our faith. If you spill some water out when God bumps your bucket of life, do you just give in and tip over? Do you give up and let your faith vanish? The correct answer is no, you must keep your faith in Him alive.

I have been through a fucking crapload of shit over the past 2 years. My only sibling, my sister, got hit by some irresponsible little fuck driving a car while completely drunk off his ass, causing serious brain trauma to her. He is enjoying his life. My sister lays in a hospital bed unresponsive. I lost the one person I thought I’d spent the rest of my life with because of my own stupidity, my own mistakes. That loss was almost as great as losing my sister. Then my father’s cancer comes back and I watch the man I have called my father fall apart into a helpless shell of who he once was. He is doing better these days thank God. And now I am dealing with my own health issues. I am also dealing with the fact that I may be spending my life alone, I cannot seem to find that special someone out there, I have grown tired of trying. But that may just be the will of God, I don’t know.

Kelly’s accident took its toll horribly on me and my family. But through it all, my faith in God has been what has kept me going, what has kept me sane.

Kelly, I hope to see you smile one day, to hear that beautiful voice again. God knows how much we all want that. Kristen, I will always love you – my heart still beats for you, regardless of all that happened…of which I take the blame for. And to my Father in Heaven, all I can say is thank you for giving me the challenges in life that makes it all worth living.

If you think life isn’t worth living, please talk to someone who can help. I hate to see people taking their lives or going through life feeling that way. There’s just so much to life, so much to enjoy and to see. Life is special, precious, my sister’s life has been forever changed. That alone has shown me just how priceless life is.

Well hi2u!

Well I have been keeping myself busy the past week or so. I spent the weekend reviewing my book, making corrections and revisions and now it’s been handed off to my good friend Houston. He will be laying it out and typesetting the book. He does a great job! The cover art was finalized about 2 weeks ago and so it just sits and waits for Houston to finish his job.

I have also been dealing with my Meneire’s Disease, my right ear has been ringing for the past week. But after an appointment with my doctor it is possible that this was allergy induced. So I had allergy tests done and I found I am allergic to 50% of the allergens they test for. I am very allergic to all trees, grasses and dust mites. But over all, I found out I am SEVERELY allergic to cats. Gee, no surprise there…I hate cats. So I start allergy shots next week…and only time will tell if things improve.

I am now starting to work on my third book, which has nothing to do with World of Warcraft. It is an original story, and something I actually drafted up about 12 years ago. I am now rewriting the first two chapters that I drafted and I am looking forward to writing about something other than World of Warcraft related stuff. The story is somewhat sad, it is a fictional drama and that’s all I will say about it.

Last but not least, I now have my graphic design portfolio online. You can view it and download some of the things I have made at
